Still trying to decide...

...whether or not I should submit. I need to, there's no excuse not to... I mean, I might as well, right? Still, I've shoved it to the back burner lately. Maybe I need to make it this week's goal, as well as posting here more often. There's something about being out of school that's just got me less interested in blogging. Mostly, though, I'm out of ideas! :)

You? Out of idea?! Never! hehe.

My problem is that I have too many. And then life just gets in the way (really, I just get so tired of not having a purpose that blogging is more exhausting).

SUBMIT and BLOG! :)

Definitely start submitting again! People in my department have made infamous the stories of 60+ rejections before a story/essay found a home. It makes the paltry 37 my first "good" story got seem like a half-assed brownie compared to German chocolate cake.

Just read your AWP post (I missed it somehow last month). AWP certainly has some info on YA stuff, but they're not the best. Have you checked out SCWBI? Their meeting this year is in LA, but they have regional groups. My father's girlfriend has done some feedback/editing/mentoring stuff through them on her middle grade novel.

I need to make submitting a habit, I know. It's easy to get discouraged after so many rejections overall.

@Eileen: I learned about SCWBI while at AWP! It sounds like something that I could definitely get involved with. Too bad the conference is in LA and I have no money! :)
